Fort Worth police captain arrested

Forty-five-year-old Police Captain Daniel Humphries of the Fort Worth Police Department caused a serious crash on Wednesday, June 29, according to CBS DFW. The Captain is being kept in jail following his arrest for charges of intoxication assault.

According to preliminary investigations, Humphries, who was off-duty at the time of the incident, had his car stopped in the right lane of the 400 block of State Highway 121. His vehicle was rear-ended by the vehicle of 52-year-old Mark Holley, which caused Humphries’ vehicle to spin around and end in the left lane facing the wrong way. Humphries is facing charges of intoxication assault. MedStar Emergency Services personnel said they transported Holley to John Peter Smith Hospital for the treatment of his serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
