Restaurant operator pleads guilty to disability fraud

66-year-old Pablo Fierro, who operates a booming restaurant in Muskegon in western Michigan, has pleaded guilty to disability fraudRestaurant operator pleads guilty to disability fraud in federal court late last month.

For 12 years, Fierro has been receiving Social Security disability benefits because he told the government that he had a bad back and was unable to work because of it.

An investigation made by Social Security officials revealed that Fierro was able to work for long hours nearly seven days a week. Fierro had also been featured in Muskegon Chronicle in 2008 regarding his restaurant, Pablo’s Tacos, where he was quoted saying that he works most of the time at the restaurant.
