Texas State professor killed in pedestrian accident

On Wednesday, February 26 a retired Texas State University professor sustained fatal injuries from a pedestrian accident.

Dr. Hal Tucker Blythe, Sr., 85, was walking in an HEB parking lot in San Marcos when he was hit by a vehicle. According to a police report, a 93-year-old driver applied too much pressure to the accelerator when reversing out of a parking spot.

Blythe was taken to the University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin but died from his injuries on Sunday, March 2.
