Trucking company sued in recent train derailment

A lawsuit have been brought against a trucking company that caused a recent train accident, according to wncn.com.

Amtrak and the company that owns the track, CSX, are suing North Carolina-based trucking company Guy M. Turner Inc. in a Raleigh federal court, claiming the defendant was responsible for a train derailment that happened on March 9, 2015 that wounded 55 people. According to witnesses, the oversized truck tried to make a turn when it got stuck over the tracks. The driver spent approximately 20 minutes trying to dislodge the truck, but never called to notify Amtrak or CSX. The two parties also say that the trucking company should be held liable for hiring a driver with a history of safety violations.
