Forty-five-year-old actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was released from the rehabilitation center where he has been recovering for the past month after suffering serious injuries in a truck accident that killed his friend and fellow comedian James McNair, ABC7 reported on July 12.
Morgan’s spokesman Lewis Kay noted that the actor will receive more medical and rehabilitation care at his home. Morgan’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart in the U.S. District Court in New Jersey for negligent practices related to the truck driver they hired.
The accident occurred when 35-year-old Wal-Mart truck driver Kevin Roper ran into the limousine Morgan and several others rode in. Roper pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
