Dallas businessman sentenced to six years in prison for identity theft

 In Social Security Disability

Last Monday, August 15, prosecutors announced that 45-year-old Frisco resident and Dallas-area businessman Sean Page was sentenced to six years in prison. The sentence comes after his convictions of theft of government property and two counts of aggravated identity theft in February 2016.

According to prosecutors, Page was awarded several dozen federal contracts after stealing a disabled veteran’s identity. Page said his business was eligible for military contracts, and he was able to garner $2.7 million in said government contracts by stealing the disabled veteran’s Social Security number. He already received $1.3 million in government funds.
