Family of Asiana Airlines crash victim sues San Francisco

 In Wrongful Death

On July 6, 2013 an Asiana Airlines flight crash-landed at San Francisco International Airport. Three people died in the accident, one of whom was 16-year-old Ye Meng Yuan.

San Mateo County coroner, Robert Foucrault reported that, Yuan’s autopsy indicates that she survived the crash, but died after being run over by responding fire trucks.

As a result of the autopsy results, Yuan’s family is suing the city, alleging that the emergency workers were incompetent. Foucrault’s autopsy contradicts the city’s record of Yuan’s death, which claims that she died immediately upon being thrown from the plane.
