Five die in two separate accidents in Bexar County
A two-vehicle collision that happened on Wednesday, December 21 around 1 p.m. in the 11200 block of Alamo Park Ranchway, near the intersection of Texas 151 and Loop 1604, resulted in the death of three individuals, one of them dying at the scene of the accident and the other two succumbing to mortal injuries later at the hospital where they were taken to.
According to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes, a sedan and a pickup truck collided with each other on the accident site. A passenger in the sedan, a man, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, while the woman who was driving the sedan and another male passenger were taken to Westover Hills Hospital.
The pickup driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was not hospitalized.
In an earlier accident in the 4500 block of Diamondhead Drive, the San Antonio Police Department reported that two people, identified as San Antonio resident James David Powell and Seguin, Guadalupe County resident Jesse Cortez, both 45 years old, were killed when their motorcycles crashed into each other.
