North Texas football player surrenders after hit-and-run

Twenty-year-old Darvin Kidsy, Jr., a wide receiver for North Texas, was issued an arrest warrant for his involvement in an accident resulting in personal injury or death on Friday, January 8. Kidsy is suspected to have been driving a vehicle that jumped a curb and struck two pedestrians at the intersection of South Carroll Boulevard and Sycamore Street in Denton at around 2:20 in the morning on December 5, 2015.

Kidsy surrendered to Denton police on Friday, Januray 15.

The arrest affidavit stated that a maroon pickup truck turned left onto South Carroll Boulevard, traversed all three lanes, entered the sidewalk, and crashed into two pedestrians. Both victims required hospitalization, with one of them suffering from severe trauma which includes broken bones and teeth.
