Seguin two-vehicle collision injures one
A two-vehicle collision that occurred around 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 7 at the intersection of State Highway 46 and the I-10 access road resulted in one woman sustaining injuries.
According to Seguin Police Officer Paul Blea, 69-year-old McQueeney resident Carolyn Sagebiel was driving a Toyota 4Runner south on SH 46. She stopped at a green light before attempting an unprotected left turn onto the I-10 access road. At that point, an impatient 18-wheeler driver began honking at her so she would make the left turn. Sagebiel went, but she was hit on the back quarter of her vehicle by a maroon car.
The driver of the car fled the scene even though Sagebiel’s vehicle flipped over, leaving her pinned in the vehicle! Blea noted, “The construction crew that was working in the area saw the red or maroon car take off and go under I-10, take a right onto 78.” An ambulance sped the victim of the accident to a San Antonio hospital for treatment.
