South San Antonio three-vehicle accident injures five
A three-vehicle collision that happened near Loop 410 South and Somerset Road in south San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, December 6 at around 3:00 p.m. resulted in five people sustaining injuries, with one adult having to be airlifted to San Antonio University Hospital.
According to preliminary investigations, a red Ford pickup truck and an 18-wheeler were both going west when the Ford pickup truck swerved towards the 18-wheeler in an effort to avoid a stalled orange Chevrolet Trailblazer on the right side of the road. When the driver of the semi-truck saw the Ford swerve towards him, he also swerved away, causing the large vehicle to veer dangerously.
The 18-wheeler flipped over on the median, causing the closure of both east and westbound lanes on Loop 410 near the Somerset Road exit.
