Staged vehicular accident death shows students dangers of drunk driving
A dramatization was put on by Marion High School in conjunction with local emergency crews to demonstrate the dangers of drunk driving, mysanantonio.com reported.
The skit entitled “Shattered Dreams” demonstrated the aftermath of a serious drinking and driving accident. In the play, high school student Cami Davis slammed into Alex Arroyo’s vehicle, critically injuring him. Real emergency crews and police personnel responded and “arrested” Davis on DWI charges. The school said that the demonstration was purposely planned for the week before spring break. Statistics show that 22% of students reported that they have been a passenger in a car with a drunk driver in the past, and administration wanted to address the problem of drinking and driving before the popular party week.
