Two separate pedestrian accidents in San Antonio
Two women were hit by vehicles in San Antonio on February 8, resulting in the death of one and the critical injury of another, News 4 reported.
Police officers who responded to the scene of the first pedestrian accident reported that the woman who was killed may have been under the influence of alcohol when she ran across Culebra near Northwest 27th Street at around 10:30 p.m.
The victim was transported to the University Hospital where she succumbed to mortal injuries an hour later. She remained unnamed by police authorities. The driver who hit her stopped at the scene and cooperated with police. Reports claim that he is not facing any charges.
The second accident happened at South Flores and Bristol on the city’s south side. Police officers reported that a black SUV was turning as the female victim was crossing the street. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after hitting the woman. The victim of this hit and run pedestrian accident is in critical condition at University Hospital.
